Are you a person with a disability that is in need of a servie dog in Seattle? Super Sonic Dog Training now offers a professional service dog training program for pyshiatric and mobility assistance needs.
Whether you have a dog or puppy, we can get your canine companion trained to peform tasks for service work.
We can ensture you will have a fully trained service dog by the end of our training sessions. Please be advised your dog MUST be temperament tested in order to be considered to be a canidate for the program.
What type of service dogs do we train:
Psychiatric Service Dog Training
We help dog owners with depression, anxiety and PTSD. These service dogs will provide comfort to their handler in everyday life and new, or stressful situations.
Mobility Support Service Training
We help dog owners become more mobile with a trained service dog, whether they have issues walking, are wheelchair bound.
Your Service Dog Will Be Trained to Perform:
- Deep Pressure Therapy
- Medication Retrieval
- Behavior Interruption
- Blocking Others
Our requirements to enter the service dog training program:
- Must go through extensive socialization and additional training (this includes obedience training)
- Must pass a temperament test
- Pass a public access test
- Mobility support requirement: Dog must be 40% of their owners height and 50% of their owners weight
Once the dog passes the public access test, they will begin training to perform specific tasks.
